Frequently asked questions.

FAQs

  • The first session is an intake session, where we’ll go over your background, goals, and what you’re hoping to achieve through counseling. It’s a time for us to get to know each other and build a foundation for our work together. I’ll ask you questions to better understand your career concerns, challenges, and aspirations, and we’ll start to develop a plan for moving forward.

  • The number of sessions depends on your unique needs and goals. I find that most clients benefit from at least 4-6 sessions to fully explore their goals and make meaningful progress. Career counseling is a reflective process that requires time to build trust, work through challenges, and formulate strategies that align with your values and long-term vision. Together, we’ll determine the best approach for your journey.

  • My standard rate is $125 per 50-minute session for individual counseling. Payment is required at the time of service, and I accept credit/debit cards.

I also offer personalized career assessments as part of the counseling process. These assessments are designed to provide deeper insight into your strengths, interests, and career preferences. The cost for each assessment is as follows, and is in addition to the session rate:

    • Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Career Report: $25

    • Strong Interest Inventory (SII): $25

    • CliftonStrengths Top 5: $30

These assessments can be a powerful tool to help guide your career journey and provide valuable insights for our work together.

*Currently, I’m offering a special reduced rate of $100 for your first session. After the initial session, the regular rate of $125 per session will apply.

  • I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. If a session is canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours, you will be charged for the full session fee.

  • I do not accept insurance for a few reasons. First, I believe in partnering with my clients at their own pace, without the limitations of insurance requirements, such as mandated diagnoses or rigid treatment plans. This approach allows us to work together more flexibly, focusing on your goals and needs. Additionally, insurance typically doesn’t cover career counseling.

Investing in yourself through career counseling can have a lasting, positive impact on your professional and personal life. It’s about taking the time to reflect on your journey, clarify your values, and make intentional decisions that guide you toward a career that aligns with who you are.

  • Yes, all of my sessions are conducted virtually. To make mental health and career development more accessible, I offer virtual sessions that provide flexibility and convenience—no matter where you’re located in the state of Colorado. I use a secure, confidential platform to ensure your privacy. Working online allows us to meet in a comfortable, private space as we work together to achieve your career and life goals. You’ll need a stable internet connection, a private space, and a device with a camera and microphone for our session.

  • That’s okay! Many clients are unsure at first, and that’s why I offer a free 30-minute consultation. During this call, we’ll briefly discuss your goals, concerns, and what you're hoping to achieve. Together, we’ll decide if moving forward with career counseling is the best step for you.
